Met Eireann has issued a weather advisory for Ireland due to a potentially damaging storm on the way later this week.
Thursday night and Friday could see very strong winds lashing the country as the storm tracks close to Ireland.
High seas and spells of heavy rain are expected also.
Forecasters are warning that the stormy conditions could disrupt travel and cause damage in areas.
“Met Éireann is continuously monitoring the evolving situation and weather warnings will be issued as confidence in the forecast track/intensity of the Low-Pressure system improves,” a statement said.
The advisory is valid from today, Monday until Saturday 25th January.
The storm has not yet become a named event, but if it gains power, it would be Storm Éowyn.
