A total of 7,500 homes are set to get access to high-speed fibre broadband in Donegal up to a year ahead of schedule.
Homes, farms and businesses, located in the Ballyshannon, Buncrana, Carndonagh and Ardara areas had originally been scheduled for high-speed fibre installation in 2026.
The timeline for installation has been moved forward by seven months, meaning an additional 2,880 homes will get connections in 2025 instead of 2026.
National Broadband Ireland has made high-speed fibre broadband available to 16,060 premises in Donegal so far, with the overall National Broadband Plan to cover 34,000 Donegal homes upon completion.
