A young Goalkeeper from Donegal has been called up to an international squad for the first time.
Charlie McGarvey, originally from Letterkenny, has been called up to be a part of Ireland’s schoolboys U15 squad to face an Australia U15 select in Dublin today.
McGarvey is a student at CIC Summerhill in County Sligo and and a current member of the Sligo Rovers Academy.
The young star also formerly played for both Ilistrin FC and Finn Harps.
The inclusion in Head Coach Jason Donohue’s 22-player squad is a huge step forward in Charlie’s burgeoning career, joining Irish young players from top academies across Ireland and England.
Kick-off against Australia in Dublin is at 2pm.
