Students from Dooish NS are headed to Cork after a highly impressive performance at a robotics tournament.
They performed excellently at the VEX IQ North-West competition at the ATU in Letterkenny earlier this week, accompanies by their teachers Ms Herron and Ms Rowan.
Dooish students stood out in all elements of the contest, Teamwork – building and design, Autonomous Coding and the Skills Challenge.
They will now represent Donegal at the All-Ireland Finals in Cork next month.
VEX Robotics is a programme that promotes STEM education to young people, with pupils designing, building and programming their own robots to compete in team competition.
The pupils and staff at Dooish NS also extended thanks to John Conaghan and Gary Cullen from ATU Letterkenny for organising the event and for their support throughout.
