The ATU Donegal Estates Department raised an impressive €4,550 for Donegal Hospice through a series of festive fundraising initiatives.
The money was raised in December through a cheery Christmas lights switch-on event on the Letterkenny campus, along with raffles and lively lunchtime quizzes and events in An Dánlann and Colab.
The events were all generously supported by staff, students and visitors.
Raymond Gillespie, who had the privilege of switching on the Donegal Hospice Christmas lights, presented the cheque to Donegal Hospice today alongside ATU staff and Student Union representative Claire McCaul.

Tommy Duddy, Maintenance Supervisor at ATU Donegal, said: “Thanks very much to the Estates team, the ATU Donegal Sports Centre and ATU Students Union for all the effort they put into raising this money before Christmas.
Louise Duddy of the Donegal Hospice Community Team accepted the donation on behalf of the Hospice and said: “We are very grateful for all the money we receive and always appreciate all the hard work done by people to fundraise for the Hospice. The funds received today will go back into the community, supporting the work of the Hospice.”
