Killybegs Community Council is confident its revamped ocean-front play park will reopen next month.
The much anticipated refurbishment will be largely finished by the end of January with only the final pouring of the safety surface, which is weather dependent, to be completed then.
“Fingers crossed for mild weather and a mid-February opening,” a spokesperson for the community council said.
“We are so grateful to the contractors, Garden Escapes Ltd, who promptly arrived when they finally had access to the site and have been consistently on site since. It’s so exciting to see the new equipment in place. Looking forward to a durable, accessible and fun Play Park that we can be proud of for many years to come.”
The council also took the opportunity to thank John Deeney from Donegal County Council for his support, assistance and updates.
