A Donegal man is celebrating after scooping €50,000 on a lotto scratch card.
The man, who has asked to remain anonymous, won the cash after buying the All Cash Extravaganza ticket at Convoy Post Office.
In a twist of fate, the lucky punter’s joy temporarily turned to sadness when his car broken down while driving back form the post office.
But that was before he realised he had just won enough cash to buy a brand new motor!
A spokesperson for the National Lottery said the man asked to remain anonymous.
The scratch card was bought at Convoy Post Office in recent days.
The new year has brought incredible fortune to several scratch card players in Ireland, with winners from Dublin, Donegal, Kildare, Mayo and Wexford, all celebrating their unexpected windfalls.
A total of €480,000 has already been won on scratch cards in 2025.
