Members of the public are being asked to help identify the little boy in this picture which was taken in Donegal 75 years ago.
Posting on the Donegal Genealogy Facebook page, Ann Brennan Shaughnessy said the older boy in the photo was her father, Jim Brennan. His mother was O’Donnell from Burtonport.
Ann said her dad was 16 at the time, so she believes it was taken in 1950.
The inscription on the back of the photo reads: “Your 2nd cousin Hugh Brendan, Maureen’s wee lad (no surname).
“My dad has passed now and I have no relatives to ask,” Ann wrote.
“Just wondering if anyone in the group might recognise the little boy. He is either my dad’s 2nd cousin or my 2nd cousin.”
If you think you can identify the boy, you can DM us or email info@donegaldaily.com and we’ll pass the details on to Ann.
