No task is too small for the members of the Lough Swilly RNLI.
Members of the Lough Swilly RNLI were tasked to the Crana Bridge this afternoon, with a unique rescue on their hands.
Instead of a stricken swimmer or troubled trawler, their task was to rescue a small dog that had fallen from the bridge and into the freezing waters below.
The dog luckily found some shallow water and a rock to stand on, but was stranded there surrounded by the icy winter waters of the Crana River.
Never fear, as the Lough Swilly RNLI’s Paddy Murphy ventured into the river to help save the stranded pup.
