Planning permission has been granted for a new centre for adults with disabilities in Donegal Town.
The HSE is proposing to demolish the old Cleary Centre on the Ballybofey Road to make way for the purpose built facility.
The former national school building was used as a centre for adults with intellectual disabilities for decades. However, the building was deemed unfit for purpose in 2014.
During the Covid-19 pandemic, it served as a temporary test centre for south Donegal.
