LYFS Local Youth & Family Service CLG is delighted to announce we are hiring for the post of Community Family Support Worker for Northwest Donegal.
This is a Full Time Position for a period of 1 Year.
All applicants must-
- Ensure the aims, objectives and actions of the service are fulfilled in line with LYFS ethos, Policies and Procedures, National Policy Guidelines and Standards
- Have at least two years’ experience in the delivery of community family support work
- Have a third level qualification relevant to the post
- Have a clear understanding of Family Support, Meitheal, Child Welfare Conferencing, Children in Care and existing referral pathways through Tusla
- Be able to work empathetically, be culturally competent and ability to deliver through trauma informed practice
- Be able to provide direct one to one, individual, family, and when appropriate, group-based interventions
- Have a proactive approach to community family support and early intervention practices.
- Link with existing service provision, identify gaps and address these through a multi-disciplinary approach to community family support
- Be able to prioritise, review and work under pressure to specific timescales and targets
- Be able to work independently and within a team
- Have a proven ability to network and work on an interagency basis
- Have excellent IT and Report Writing Skills
- Be able to utilise a variety of communication methods including web-based technology
- Have a full driving licence and use of a car for employment purposes.
- Have the ability to deliver the work through the Irish language where required.
