Future rally star Oisin McShane has concluded the adventure of a lifetime in Norway training with the Craig Breen Foundation.
The fifteen year-old Letterkenny talent learned to drive on snow and ice alongside Ross Ryan (18) from Youghal.
The rising motorsport stars were put through the paces under the tuition of John Haugland and Rally superstar Andreas Bakkerud.
The Trip was organised by the Craig Breen Foundation, set up in honour of the late WRC star who the world sadly lost in 2023. The foundation’s aim is to continue Breen’s commitment to developing the future stars of the sport right here in Ireland.
Oisin and Ross earned their place on the trip thanks to their results in the Junior 1000 class of the Irish Forest Rally Championship, a series which saw 32 Competitors between 14-18 years of age compete on Rally Events in 2024.
Last weekend the youngsters got to experience FWD techniques in a Nissan Almera GTi, before progressing to a 4WD Subaru Impreza on the 2nd day.
Speaking about the experience, Oisin said:
Oisin McShane finished the 2024 season as Champion in his debut year in the sport, while Ross Ryan begins his journey into more powerful machinery as he ended his three year J1000 career by finishing second in the standings.
