A woman has alleged she was assaulted during a row over a taxi between a group of males and females in Ballybofey.
The incident allegedly took place in the early hours of New Year’s Day near the AIB bank on the town’s main street between 1:30 am and 2 am.
“A row broke out at that location between a group of males and a group of females over a taxi that had just pulled in,” a garda spokesperson said.
“One of the females reported that she was assaulted by one of the males during the row. She sustained injuries, none of which are life threatening in nature.
Gardaí appeal to anybody who may have travelled on the Main Street between those times with a dash cam to make contact with them in Letterkenny on 074-9167100.
