Touching tribute made to Carn FC’s late Tiernan Doherty by QPS players

Players from Quigley’s Point Swifts paid a touching tribute to young Carn player Tiernan Doherty ahead of their Inishowen League matchup against Carn Youths today.

18-year-old Carndonagh native Tiernan died tragically in a single-vehicle road accident near Buncrana in December.

A talented footballer, Tiernan has been dearly missed by all those at the Carn FC side of which he was a member.

Before today’s game, QPS Captain Denim McLaughlin made a presentation of a special memorial plaque to Carn Youths Captain Dylan Cooke.

On social media, Carn FC thanked QPS for the kind pre-game gesture.
