National: Murder probe launched after death of woman in Cork

Gardaí in Cork have launched a murder probe after the death of a woman in Mallow on Friday.

31-year-old Paula Canty was found dead in her apartment just after midday, with the alarm being raised following an incident at the property.

According to RTÉ News, following a post-mortem examination Gardaí have now launched a murder investigation after finding a stab wound in her chest.

Gardaí have sealed off the apartment, and another property in the town as their investigations into Paula’s killing continue.

Anyone with information has been asked to come forward.
