Donegal County Council has said the L-1192-4 Lough Salt Road from Kilmacrennan to Glen Village has been closed due to icy conditions.

A number of vehicles left the road, and one overturned, during what were described as treacherous driving conditions.

However, there were no reports of injuries.

The road will reopen when it is safe to do so. Diversions are in place.
