The month’s mind mass for the late Tiernan Doherty of Carndonagh will be held tomorrow, Wednesday 1st January 2025.
Talented footballer Tiernan lost his life in a tragic single-vehicle collision on 1st December.
The 18-year-old, who had just recently passed his driving test, was driving to Buncrana to meet friends when his car left the road.
In an acknowledgement and Month’s Mind Mass notice, Tiernan’s parents Louise and Kevin and his siblings issued their thanks to everyone who supported them in their recent loss:
We thank everyone who attended the removal, called to the house and attended the funeral.
To Fr. Conn McLaughlin PP for the beautiful mass and to Joanne O’Donnell for her beautiful singing.
To everyone who brought mass cards, sympathy cards, flowers and food, we thank you.
A thank you to our local businesses, clubs and organizations who went above and beyond for us during this difficult time.
To our own family, friends and neighbours and wider community who helped us out in any way during this time, we thank you.
Thanks to all the emergency service personnel, Gardaí, National Ambulance Service and Fire Brigade who attended the scene.
A special heartfelt thank you to Blaine and Anthony of Kelly’s Funeral Directors for the funeral arrangements carried out with dignity and respect and for all their help.
Tiernan was a very proud member of Carndonagh FC and CLG Charn Domhnaigh.
We thank you for all your support, for opening up your doors to his friends and also for the large guard of honour.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone who contributed individually, please accept this as a heartfelt thanks and gratitude.
Tiernan’s month mind mass will take place tomorrow, Wednesday 1st of January at 10:00am in the Sacred Heart Church, Carndonagh.
