Podcast producer and editor Lochlainn Harte is celebrating a major victory at the Irish Pod Awards.
Harte’s captivating 4 part series ‘Corny: The Last Irishman in the NFL’, scored an impressive array of awards including Gold for Best Sports Podcast, Silver for Best Limited Run Series, Bronze for Best Documentary, and an individual award for Best Editor.
“Corny: The Last Irishman in the NFL” tells the incredible story of Neil O’Donoghue, a Dublin native who rose to the top of American football in the 1970s and 80s as a placekicker.
“This is incredible! I’m so honoured and genuinely shocked,” said Harte. “This podcast was a real labour of love, and it means the world to me that people have connected with Neil’s story.”
The son of former Senator Jimmy Harte and Mary, Lochlainn is a former student of Woodlands NS and St. Eunan’s College. He then went on to study Multimedia in DCU and attained a Masters in Sonic arts in Queens University Belfast.
He has worked on a number of successful Irish podcasts, including “Inside the Crime,” “As I Remember It: Bertie Ahern and the Good Friday Agreement,” and “Let Me Explain.”
