Three people have died in the last 24 hours in separate incidents on Irish roads.
Firstly a man was killed yesterday afternoon in a two-vehicle collision in County Armagh.
The incident between a car with four adults and a child, and another vehicle with a single occupant took place shortly before 1pm on the Killylea Road.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the collision to come forward.
Elsewhere, two pedestrians were killed in separate incidents yesterday evening.
A woman in her 70s was killed after being struck by a car in County Carlow.
The collision took place at around 6:30pm in Rathcrogue.
The woman’s body was taken to University Hospital Waterford, where a post-mortem examination will take place.
The driver of the car, a man aged in his 20s, was uninjured in the crash.
Meanwhile, a pedestrian aged in his 60s was also killed in a collision in County Meath last night.
The incident took place at Flowerhill in Navan at approximately 10:40pm.
His death marks the sixth death on the Republic of Ireland’s roads since Monday alone.
