A Donegal man charged with sexual assault has been sent forward for trial.
The man, aged in his late 60s, has been charged with three counts of sexually assaulting a woman on dates in 2022.
The alleged offences are said to have occurred at a named location in Donegal.
The man, cannot be named due to legal reasons, was before a sitting of Letterkenny District Court.
Garda Pauline Doherty gave evidence of serving a book of evidence on the accused man at Letterkenny courthouse.
Sergeant Maurice Doyle told the court that the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) has consented to the accused being sent forward for trial to the next sitting of Letterkenny Circuit Court in 2025.
Judge Éiteáin Cunningham made an order returning the accused for trial. Judge Cunningham made a section 56 order relating to videos of interviews and administered the alibi warning.
The accused man, who was represented by solicitor Mr Rory O’Brien, was granted bail on the same terms as previously set down by the court.
