If you’re already dreading taking down the Christmas decorations, decor expert Ingrid Proberkaite is making sure you don’t get your tinsel in a twist!
Ingrid, the owner of Bruckless-based Ingrid’s Balloons, has a new service to take down your Christmas decorations in January.
When the sparkle has worn off the tree and garlands, Ingrid swoops in and neatly boxes all the baubles and lights away.
As a decorator for hotels, businesses and private homes, carefully packing and labelling precious pieces is her forté.
Ingrid has enjoyed a busy December making homes merry and bright with her bespoke decorating service.
When clients started to book her to take the decorations down again in January, that’s when Ingrid got the bright idea for her cleanup service. You don’t have to be a client of Ingrid’s to book for the New Year.
Ingrid’s top tip for tidying away the tree? Don’t tangle your lights!
“Wrap them around something instead of keeping them in a bundle,” she said.
“Also wrap your baubles separately, especially the glass ones and the special ones.”
It may be hard to believe, but Ingrid says she is already nearly fully booked for Christmas 2025!
Ingrid’s Balloons Celebrates 5 Years of Success
2024 marked a significant milestone for Ingrid’s Balloons she marked her 5th year in business. Over the past five years, the business has blossomed into a local favourite, known for its creativity, vibrant displays, and strong customer connections.
As Ingrid reflects on the journey, she says, “It’s hard to believe how far I’ve come. Sometimes, I forget just how much we’ve accomplished.”
This year alone saw Ingrids Balloons work with many local businesses, including Zona Dance, which won the “Best Float” award in the St. Patrick’s Day parade in Letterkenny, and just recently, Triona Design taking home the title of Best Dressed Christmas Window in Donegal Town, which was carefully planned and designed and made by Ingrid’s Balloons.
“We’re absolutely thrilled with these accolades. It’s wonderful to be recognised for my hard work and dedication,” Ingrid shared.
These accomplishments are a testament to the support Ingrid has received from her loyal customers over the years. “I want to extend a huge thank you to everyone who has supported my business. Your trust and enthusiasm have meant the world to me,” Ingrid said.
