A man charged with alleged public order and assault offences did not attend a special sitting of Glenties District Court due to being unwell, the court heard.
Philip Dodoo, 23, who is currently in custody in Castlerea prison, was due to appear in court on Monday, December 23.
He is charged with assault at the Post Office, Main Street, Dungloe on December 20, 2024, and with a breach of the Public Order Act at The Cope, Main Street, Dungloe on the same date.
Solicitor Rory O’Brien acting on behalf of solicitor Patsy Gallagher told the court that the defendant was unwell and was directed not to travel to court.
Mr O’Brien asked that a psychiatric report be carried out.
Judge Brendan O’Reilly adjourned the case to Letterkenny District Court on January 6, with the defendant to appear by video link.
