Two people have died in separate road tragedies in the North in the last 24 hours, according to Police.

A man aged in his sixties has died after a collision between a vehicle and a pedestrian in Dungannon yesterday evening.

The incident took place shortly after 6:30pm in the County Tyrone town.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene on John Street, which remains closed to traffic as Police conduct their investigations into the collision.

Meanwhile another man was killed in a separate collision in County Antrim yesterday evening.

A man in his seventies died after a Porsche Cayenne mounted a roundabout and collided with a lorry in Ballynure.

A woman was also transferred to hospital following the crash.

Police have made appeals to witnesses to both collisons to come forward.
