A group of young Donegal lads have thought of others this Christmas and raised a whopping €680 for a very deserving local charity.
Caolán Gillespie from Ballybofey along with his friends, Lewis Harrold and Jack Blee, presented a cheque for €680 to Stephanie Brady of the Oncology Ward at Letterkenny University Hospital.
The lads raised the money through a range of fundraising measures including selling tickets for hampers at the Balor Theatre Panto nights in Ballybofey.
The boys would like to thank all at the Balor for all their help and supporting the lads.
The family would also like to thank the staff at Deele College in Raphoe for their generosity towards the fundraiser.
Caolán along with Lewis & Jack were inspired to undertake this initiative after seeing the brilliant care and support that the staff have proved to his grandfather, Kevin Floyd who is receiving treatment from the oncology ward over the past few months.
The winners of the Hampers were: Sinead McDermott, Gerry Doherty, Carla McCool (Daimhin & Ava).
Great work lads and we hope you all have a lovely Christmas after that great effort.
