In the true spirit of Christmas, students from St Columba’s College, Stranorlar, have brought warmth to local families in need by generously distributing over 30 luxury food hampers.
For the past ten years, teacher Ms Andrena Cowan (main pic on left) has quietly co-ordinated this heartwarming initiative for St Vincent de Paul, inspiring kindness and giving throughout the schoolgoing community.
In recent weeks, the students collected food donations, wrapped them with care, and delivered them to the local branch of the charity on Wednesday. These thoughtful hampers will be shared with families facing hardship, brightening their Christmas season.
This annual campaign serves as a reminder of the power of kindness and community.
“These hampers will now be delivered to families who are struggling in our local community,” a spokesperson for the school said.
“Thank you to all those who so generously donated and supported this cause, you have helped to make this Christmas Appeal possible and successful again for 2024. What a wonderful time to celebrate the importance of community and giving.”
