Donegal student stars for Ireland at international rowing event

Abbey Vocational School student, Grace Masterson, represented Ireland in the Coupe de la Jeunesse Beach Sprints Rowing in Spain last weekend. 

Grace, a 6th Year from Donegal Town, rowed Mixed Doubles with Jack Hehir from Roscarbery RC in Cork.

The Irish rowers showed their strength and skill, with all 14 boats advancing through time trials into the last 16 heats.

Grace and Jack won their last 16 race against the Czech Republic qualifying for the quarter-finals where they faced a formidable Spanish crew, ultimately concluding their journey in a well-fought race.
