A fundraiser supporting the RNLI has been launched, after the 25th anniversary of the tragic drowning of a Donegal father and son.
Paul Chapman and his nine-year-old son Sean tragically died after their car was swept into the sea on the Shore Road, Mountcharles on the 8th of December 1999.
Now the Chapman family are commemorating them, as well as the important work of the RNLI through a special festive fundraiser.
The family own the nearby Salthill Cabin, and are organising a Christmas Draw for the RNLI – with plenty of prizes for the winners.
Tickets for the draw are €10, or 3 for €25.
The draw will be held at the Salthill Cabin on Sunday the 22nd of December.
Santa will also be making a visit to Mountcharles that day, before heading up to the Cabin ahead of the draw as well.
