Donegal woman Anne Friel is planning a holiday in the sun after winning €6,000 at Billy Bustard’s recent charity fundraising dance!
Billy’s annual event, held this year at the Abbey Hotel on Friday, November 8th, was a resounding success, raising over €15,000 for the Donegal Galway Cancer Bus.
Anne, who won the top prize of a Mediterranean cruise, opted for the cash prize instead. She plans to use the winnings to treat her elderly mother and two sisters to a well-deserved sun holiday in the New Year.
Billy, a dedicated fundraiser from Donegal Town, has been instrumental in raising nearly a million euro for the Donegal Galway Cancer Bus over the years.
Billy and the event organisers extend their gratitude to everyone who purchased tickets and contributed to the fundraising success.
