The 2024 North West Cancer Ball has been cancelled after an initial postponement due to Storm Darragh.
Organisers made the decision to cancel the 2024 edition in order to shift focus towards next year’s events.
Refunds will be given to all ticket holders starting today, when they will be contacted by phone.
Full statement from Committee of the North West Cancer Ball
“The Committee of the Breast Cancer Ball regrets to announce that this year’s event, originally scheduled for last Friday, December 6th, was cancelled due to the Red Warning Alert issued by Met Éireann as Storm Darragh swept through. With severe conditions making it unsafe to travel on the night, this difficult decision was made with the safety and wellbeing of our guests and sponsors as the highest priority.”
“After much consideration, the Committee has also decided not to reschedule the Ball this year. Instead, we will focus on delivering an even more exciting and memorable event in 2025.”
“All ticket holders will be refunded, as tickets are not being held over for next year’s event. Guests will be contacted by telephone today, Wednesday, December 11th, to arrange their refund and ensure everyone is looked after.”
“Although Storm Darragh disrupted this year’s plans, we are grateful for the kindness, understanding, and continued support of our community. With your help, we are confident that next year’s Breast Cancer Ball, scheduled for Friday, December 5th, 2025, will be a truly remarkable event.”
