TG4’s hit show Glór Tíre is back again, and they’re searching for the next country music star from the hills of Donegal.
Donegal man Jason McCahill took the crown at the end of last season, with fellow Donegal singer Chelsea Evans also making the grand final of the series.
Now ahead of the 21st season of the show, the search is on to find the next country singing sensation.
The show will be presented by Aoife Ní Thuairsig. Resident judges Jó Ní Chéide and Caitriona Ní Shuilleabháin will be joined by guest judges, while the series mentors will be drawn from leading names in Irish Country music.
The next season of Glór Tíre will begin recording in County Galway in January of 2025, with applications now open.
To apply for Glór Tíre season 21, entrants must send a video or YouTube link of themselves performing a song, along with – where they’re from, contact details, age and a few words about themselves to eolas@gaelmedia.ie.
Entrants must be over 18 as of 1 December 2024 and must not be under contract to a manager or management agency, and the deadline for entries is midday on Monday 23rd December – with no entries being accepted after that date.
All entries will be uploaded onto a YouTube channel and shared with the Glór Tíre mentors who will choose their contestant from the entries received. Videos must be in a format which can be downloaded or viewed on YouTube. Videos or applications through any other social media platforms, will not be accepted.
By applying to take part in the series, entrants give permission for their video and contact details to be shared with the production team, mentors, and any other persons necessary for the production of the series. The entered video may also be used in future promotion or advertising of the series.
Successful entrants must make themselves available for all of the recording dates, as well as any promotional, or behind-the-scenes days, deemed necessary by the production company.
