The first anniversary Mass for a talented young Donegal musician will be held next weekend.
Paul Mooney (30), from Ramelton, tragically lost his life in a road crash just days before Christmas last year.
Paul lived for music, supported Irish band Kodaline and was due to play the famous Glastonbury Festival in England this year with his band Boy M5.
This year’s Party In The Park in Letterkenny celebrated the dearly missed local legend as the main stage was officially renamed ‘The Paul Mooney Stage’. It was funded by donations of €7,000, in lieu of flowers following his passing. A donation was also made to the Donegal Youth Service in memory of Paul.
He is sadly missed by his beloved mum and dad, Gwen and Morgan, as well as his sisters Maeve and Julianne.
His anniversary Mass will take place next Saturday, December 14, at 12 noon in St Mary’s Church in Ramelton.
