This Thursday, the pupils and staff of Scoil Mhuire NS in Glenties invite the community to St Connell’s Church for their highly anticipated Christmas Nativity service.

This cherished event begins at 6:30pm and promises to be a magical evening filled with the warmth and wonder of the festive season.

Set against the beautiful backdrop of St. Connell’s Church, the Nativity service is an opportunity for us to pause, reflect, and embrace the true spirit of Christmas. Featuring the talented students of Scoil Mhuire, the service will include heartfelt performances, uplifting carols, and a joyous retelling of the Christmas story.

After the service, the celebration continues at the Glenties Community Centre, where the Parents Association will host festive refreshments. This is the perfect chance to mingle with friends and neighbors, share the holiday cheer, and enjoy the hospitality that makes this community so special. Adding to the excitement, the evening will also feature a raffle with fantastic hampers up for grabs, making it a night to remember.

In the spirit of sustainability and giving, Scoil Mhuire is also running a Christmas jumper and jammie swap in the fortnight leading up to Christmas. Thanks to the generosity of local families, there’s an incredible collection of festive jumpers and cozy pajamas available for anyone who wishes to take part. Simply pop by, pick something you love, and spread the joy of the season.

Mark your calendars for this Thursday and join Scoil Mhuire for an evening that embodies the heart of Christmas: community, kindness, and celebration.
