Murrays Pharmacy Castlefinn celebrated its grand reopening of the extended pharmacy on Friday.
The local community attended in huge numbers to help celebrate the occasion and there was a great atmosphere on the day.
The extended pharmacy is doubled in size, allowing the team to offer a greater range of products and pharmacy services to the community. The pharmacy is a real community pharmacy and is central to the community, based at the Castlefinn Community Partnership Initiative (CPI).
Pharmacist Tom Murray says: “The fact we needed to double the pharmacy reflects the loyalty and support we have had from the community since we opened here 19 years ago. They really have been excellent and we are so thankful to them.”
In particular, Tom thanks Joan Crawford who officially opened the pharmacy.
It was Joan who nearly 20 years ago asked Tom to come to Castlefinn when they were studying Irish together and so it’s fitting she opened the new extension.
Tom would also like to thank the CPI team, the local doctors, the Castlefinn community for their ongoing support and of course the great people who work with him and make it all so easy for him.
