Carndonagh FC has opened its doors to the entire town’s community, after the shocking death of a teenager in a road crash overnight in Inishowen.
Gardaí say that an adult male teenager was killed in a single-car collision on the R244 (Mountain Road) at Ballinlough, near Buncrana, shortly after 5am this morning.
It’s understood the young man was from the Carndonagh area.
His death marks the eighteenth road fatality in County Donegal in 2024.
