Donegal’s young female Barbershop Quartet, Ceoltóirí Canóla, are set to make their stunning debut concert on December 18th at a concert in Conwal Church in Letterkenny.
Ceoltóirí Canóla, who are all members of the Danu young women’s choir, is comprised of Alice O’Connor, Katie Coyle (both from Loreto Milford), Sadbh Breathnach and Síne Ó hAodha (Coláiste Áiligh).
They have been singing together as part of Danu Young Women’s Choir since late 2022 but came together as a Barbershop Quartet late last year, just 3 weeks before their very first Barbershop Singing Competition (IABS 2023) – where they took home the first prize in the Youth Competition.
Since then they have graced the stage at Barbershop Harmony Society midwinter in New York and the British Association of Barbershop Singers convention in the UK.
They returned to the Irish Association of Barbershop Singers Convention this year where they yet again wowed judges and audiences alike and were crowned the National Quartet Champions.
They are now busy preparing for their first ever concert, An Evening with Ceoltóirí Canóla, on the 18th December at Conwal Church in Letterkenny. This is sure to be an evening of captivating night of Barbershop singing as this award winning quartet take to the stage.
