Athletics Coach Teresa McDaid has been officially honoured by Donegal County Council at a special Civic Reception.
As the team manager for Ireland’s Olympic teams at the Tokyo games in 2021 and earlier this year in Paris, she has helped to oversee a goldrush of medals for Irish athletes across a multitude of disciplines.
Her efforts, both on the national athletics scene and as well as in Letterkenny over many decades, were recognised officially by Donegal County Council on Friday.
Teresa was granted a Civic Honour by the Council at the special reception held in the Public Services Centre in Letterkenny.
Letterkenny Mayor, Cllr Gerry McMonagle, congratulated Teresa on her success and acknowledged the important role model that she has become to the young people in the community.
