Sinn Féin Finance spokesperson Pearse Doherty has said that voters need to think about the consequence of their vote this Friday.
Doherty claims the price of diesel and petrol will increase under Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael in government.
And the Donegal TD has vowed that Sinn Féin in government will not increase fuel prices and is committed to reversing the last two increases.
He said “Voters need to understand that if they vote for Fianna Fáil or Fine Gael on Friday, that they will be voting to increase the cost of diesel by at least another 12 cent per litre.
“Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael in government will impose punitive tax measures on hard-working people who are already at the pin of their collar trying to make ends meet.
“Sinn Féin wants to give struggling families and workers a break. We will stop the planned increase in fuel prices and if we lead the next government, we will reverse the last two price increases.
“The choice in this election is between Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael in government again, punishing ordinary people with more taxes or a Sinn Féin government which is on your side.”
