A General Election poll carried out by the Tirconaill Tribune newspaper shows Pearse Doherty having a clear lead over his rivals.
Published this evening, it has the Sinn Féin spokesman for finance on 26.61 percent followed Fianna Fail’s Pat ‘The Cope’ Gallagher on 13.88%.
Doherty’s party colleague, Pádraig MacLochlainn, is on 11.01% while Minister Charlie McConalogue is a bit behind on 8.03%. According to the Tribune poll, the fifth and final seat could be filled by either Independent Thomas Pringle (7.22%) or 100% Redress candidate, Charles Ward who is hot on his heels at 7%.
Similar to the TG4/Ipsos B&A Donegal constituency poll published last week, Fine Gael is unlikely to retain Joe McHugh’s seat. The two FG candidates, John McNulty and Nikki Bradley are on 6.31% and 5.73% respectively.
