The next time that Nikki Bradley walks into Leinster House, she wants to do so as your TD for Donegal.
In order to do so, the Fine Gael Senator is asking for your number one vote on 29th of November.
Here is Senator Bradley’s story so far:
Nikki Bradley is a disability advocate and motivational speaker living in Milford.
Diagnosed with Ewing’s Sarcoma at aged 16 and surviving the rare and often deadly form of bone cancer, offered Nikki a unique opportunity to restart her life at a young age. She is the founder of ‘Fighting Fit For Ewing’s’, which aims to increase awareness about the disease while encouraging people to view exercise as a form of rehabilitation.
Nikki has worked with some of Ireland’s leading disability organisations such as Active Disability Ireland, The Disabled Drivers Association, of which she is a board member and The No Barriers Foundation.
After working with these organizations and advocating for others on her platform for years, Senator Bradley has the experience to advocate for those at the national level if elected to the Dail on the 29th.
Living with a disability for over 15 years has given Nikki invaluable insight and knowledge that she will use during her time as a senator to push for a better quality of life for others in Ireland.
As a Donegal native, Nikki grew up in Letterkenny and later moved to Milford where she spent much of her childhood. Nikki is very familiar with the devastation caused by defective blocks in the county and will lobby for the people of Donegal and the wider community on this issue.
Encouraging young people to use their vote is another area Nikki will focus on during her time in the Seanad. She was invited to the European Parliament in Strasbourg in December 2023 and to Brussels in February 2024 where she was given the opportunity to meet with various MEPs on this matter. Nikki believes this is a key factor in keeping our young people engaged in the community.
Nikki’s Priority Issues:
Disability
People living with a disability deserve the same quality of life as everyone else. My goal is to improve essential services, reduce waiting list times, and create more opportunities for independent living. I will work to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access the support they need to lead fulfilling, autonomous lives. Additionally, I will encourage those with reduced mobility to engage in sport and physical activities, recognizing the vital role these play in maintaining mental and physical well-being. By partnering with Local Sports Partnerships (LSPs), I will promote inclusive programs that make sport and exercise accessible to all.
Defective Blocks
I cannot run in the General Election without making Defective Concrete Blocks a key priority. This issue has impacted everyone in our county, whether directly or indirectly. I’ve already met with many affected families and will continue to meet with more in the coming months to understand their concerns and needs. My promise to you is clear: I will fight relentlessly on your behalf. My approach will be simple and focused—’Less Talking, More Action.’ Together, we can ensure that this issue is resolved swiftly and fairly, so our community can finally rebuild and move forward.
Youth
I want to empower young people to take their place at the decision-making table. You are the future leaders, and your voices deserve to be heard. I encourage you to share your concerns with me so we can work together to make a meaningful impact on the lives of people in Donegal. Your voice matters, and so does your vote. I urge you to get out there, use your vote, and ensure your voice is part of shaping our future. Let’s make a difference, one vote at a time.
