Construction giant Seamus Quinn has been named as the Donegal Association London’s 2024 Person of the Year.
He was given the award at the association’s annual dinner dance at the glamorous Hilton Hotel in Wembley.
The Drimarone native founded the massively successful Quinn London in 2000, and on the verge of its 25th anniversary the company has taken on a life of its own with offices in Mill Hill and Soho – and 175 people on their staff.
He has also made an impact in Donegal Town too, with Quinn employing 40 workers at their expanded offices there – a testament to his dedication to his home county.
Quinn London reported a turnover of over £100 million for the first time this year, with profits reaching £3.6 million as founder Seamus continues his work as the Chairman of the company.
The current success of Quinn London is proof of the hard work and resilience of Seamus, as he and his family emigrated to London in his teens.
From humble beginnings doing carpentry alongside his brother John in his late teens, his hard work and dedication has landed him the prestigious gong from the Donegal Association in London.
“You’re only as good as the people you employ… your team of your people, you can’t do it on your own.” he told MC Noel Cunningham and assembled guests as he accepted the award last night.
Seamus is far from done with his work though, as he smartly remarked during his comments; “Sure what would you do if you retire?”
