Met Éireann has extended a number of weather warnings for County Donegal.
Storm Bert has brought widespread disruption nationwide, including in Donegal with over 23,000 homes being left without power across the county and difficult travelling conditions on the county’s roads this morning also.
Killybegs was also severely flooded overnight as a fallen tree blocked the flow of a river near the town.
The effects of the storm are expected to linger on until early on Monday morning, with another weather warning being issued for Donegal.
Met Éireann have warned of the potential for fallen trees and loose debris on the roads, as the national forecaster is expecting strong to gale force winds all day Sunday, and into the early hours of Monday morning.
This latest status yellow warning comes into effect from 8am on Sunday morning, and will be in place until 5am on Monday.
