Coiste Glan & Glas Falcarragh Tidy Towns, in partnership with Donegal Local Development Company (DLDC), is delighted to offer a Climate Action Workshop designed to inspire and empower the local community to take meaningful steps toward environmental sustainability.
The event will take place on Friday, 29th November 2024, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at An tSean Bheairic, Falcarragh, with lunch included.
This half-day workshop will feature a series of videos, each showcasing practical and innovative ideas for promoting sustainability at a local level. Interactive discussions and surveys will accompany each video to encourage reflection and gather community insights.
Participants will reflect on the extent to which they are already implementing the suggested actions and consider the potential for adopting these practices in the future. They will also examine the challenges and barriers they might encounter when taking action, creating a deeper understanding of the practical steps required to move forward.
“This workshop is about practical solutions and open discussions,” said Joanne Butler, Climate Action Officer, DLDC. “By sharing ideas and engaging with the community, we aim to identify realistic actions that people can take to address climate challenges. The ripple effect of these initiatives is vital for building collective responsibility and resilience.”
The workshop will also include a presentation by Donegal County Council’s Climate Action Team, focusing on the Decarbonisation Zone of Falcarragh and Gortahork.
