MMA fighter Conor McGregor has been ordered to pay more than €248,000 in damages to Nikita Hand after she won her High Court civil case against him over an alleged rape.

A jury has today found that the UFC fighter did assault Ms Hand in a Dublin hotel in December 2018.

The jury found that McGregor’s friend James Lawrence, 35, of Rafter’s Road, Drimnagh in Dublin did not assault her.

Both men had denied the claims by Ms Hand and said they separately had consensual sex with Ms Hand in a penthouse at the Beacon Hotel six years ago.

Speaking after the ruling Ms Hand said: “Now that justice has been served, I can now try and move on and look forward to the future with my family and friends and daughter.”
