Met Eireann is urging road users to take care due to possible hazardous conditions on roads and paths as well as some possible travel disruption.
Thursday will be another cold day with a mix of sunny spells and scattered showers of rain, sleet and snow.
The cold snap is set to continue until Friday night before it turns milder and more unsettled this weekend with potential for a spell of wet and windy weather.
