Temperatures will definitely feel a bit more chilly as a cold snap is hovering over the next week of weather in Donegal.
Today will see daytime temperatures dip to between 7 and 9 degrees, with mostly cloudy conditions broken up by the odd bright patch.
Persistent rain will develop in the west this evening however, and temperatures tonight will fall to between 0 and 3 degrees – with Met Eireann warning of potential frost on the ground overnight.
Tomorrow will start out dry, but afternoon rain showers will turn to sleet or snow as nightfall occurs.
Temperatures will also fall again tomorrow during daytime, with highs at just 3 to 6 degrees celsius.
Met Eireann are still anticipating freezing cold conditions later in the week, with temperatures currently predicted to slip into the negatives om Tuesday night.
The unsettled spell of weather is expected to last until at least Friday next week.
