Some decent spells of dry weather are expected this weekend, ahead of next week’s expected arctic conditions.

Despite some scattered showers at times, Met Eireann’s forecast for Ulster is anticipating good dry spells today, with bright and sunny spells at times also.

Temperatures will feel a bit fresher though, with highs between 8 and 11 degrees celsius.

Tonight will see a mix of dry spells and scattered showers, with temperatures dipping to between 1 and 5 degrees.

Tomorrow, Sunday, will feel a bit cooler again as temperatures will only climb to between 7 and 9 degrees.

After a mixed start with some bright spells, more persistent rain will move in during Sunday afternoon and evening.
