Donegal Gardaí and Foróige are hosting an exciting event in Gweedore tomorrow to educate car enthusiasts about road safety.
It will take place in the Foróige building, next door to the Garda Station, between 12pm and 2pm.
The Operation Nexus Volkswagen Golf 2.0litre, 295 bhp, 4wd car was seized during an operation along with large quantities of illegal drugs and cash that were the proceeds of crime.
“The car has been put to much better use since then,” a garda spokesperson said.
“It has been spruced up to help support our work in educating car enthusiasts nationwide about road safety.”
Gardaí will be on hand tomorrow to discuss road safety with the young people present and a road safety talk will also be given.
“We will be at the Foróige building, which is next door to the Garda Station, so please do come along and check out the car. This event reflects a shared commitment to keeping our roads safe and to promote the road safety message, especially amongst young people.”
