Southwest Donegal had an impressive win this afternoon in Group A Round 2 of the MacRory Cup, with a five-point success over Our Lady’s Castleblayney.

An amalgamation of five different schools, the boys from Donegal managed to keep the Monaghan representatives within arm’s reach during a low-scoring first half.
The sides went in at half-time with Our Lady’s leading 0-5 to 0-3.
The Monaghan boys bagged a goal in the eighth minute of the restart to go into a 1-06 to 0-5 lead.
However, Southwest Donegal clawed that lead back and hit the back of the net themselves in the 28th minute to go in front on a scoreline of 1-11 to 1-06.
Both sides managed another point in the dying minutes, but the Donegal boys ran out impressive 1-12 to 1-07 winners.
