Seamus Coleman has been named in the Ireland squad to face England and Finland in the Nations League, after returning from injury.
The Killybegs man has been out of action for club and country after he was caught in an accidental collision with England defender Harry Maguire, in Ireland’s opening Nations League game in September.
The 36-year-old has not played a game since, but the Everton and Ireland Captain is nearing a return to full health.
It is not yet known if he will be ready to be named in the starting lineup for Ireland’s upcoming fixtures, but his presence and leadership alone in the squad should prove a boost to Heimir Hallgrimsson’s squad.
They will play Finland at the Aviva Stadium on Thursday, November 14th, before travelling to Wembley Stadium in London for the return match against rivals England on Sunday the 17th of November.
