The Irish tricolour was flown at half-mast today outside the Donegal County Council offices in Lifford, in solidarity with the people with Valencia.
It’s after the devastating flash floods that killed over 200 people, with dozens that are still missing as the Spanish city counts the cost of a once-in-a-century weather disaster.
Donegal has deep historical ties to Spain, ties that have seen Lifford twinned with the town of Simancas near Valladolid.
